The Candela GentleMax Pro uses focused light that is absorbed by the melanin in the hair. The energy permanently destroys the hair root without damaging surrounding tissue. The patented DCD cooling system ensures maximum comfort during treatment.

Typically, 6–8 sessions at intervals of 4–6 weeks are required, as only hairs in the active growth phase (anagen phase) can be treated. The exact number depends on skin type, hair color, and body zone and will be discussed in a personal consultation.

Most clients describe the sensation as a light pinch or tingling. The Candela GentleMax Pro features an integrated cooling system (DCD) that cools the skin immediately before each pulse, making the treatment particularly comfortable. Sensitive areas can also be prepared with a numbing cream upon request.

The Candela GentleMax Pro combines two wavelengths — Alexandrite (755 nm) and Nd:YAG (1064 nm) — making it suitable for all skin types (I–VI Fitzpatrick scale). In a complimentary consultation, we determine your skin type and create an individual treatment plan.
